Sepi received her BFA in fine arts and photography from the Corcoran School of Art and Design in Washington DC. After graduating she pursued her art career by continually working on her art and having numerous art shows while working for an advertising agency.
Due to her love and passion for the field of psychology and the human behavior, she continued her studies by taking classes in social science and psychology at the University of District of Columbia. She later moved to Santa Fe and received her Masters in Counseling and Art therapy at Southwestern College.
Sepi has extensive experience in working with diverse populations; including local and native populations in Northern New Mexico. She has worked with clients from all social and economic backgrounds. Sepi uses her own life experiences as an Iranian-American to expand on the cultural needs of her clients.
Sepi specializes in trauma-informed care, addiction, mood disorders and PTSD. She is certified in Motivational Interviewing, and is in the process of finalizing her SandPlay therapy certification. In addition to teaching, Sepi is currently working as a crisis counselor at the emergency department of Christus St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe. In addition she sees clients in private and in an agency contract setting.
When Sepi is not working and taking care of her eight year old, she continues to pursue her passion for art by working on paintings and projects in her home studio.
