Sarah Jackson, MA, ATR-BC, CAADC, LPC, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Studio Art minor and a concentration in Art Therapy from the College of Santa Fe, as well as a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy/Counseling from Southwestern College. In the state of PA, she is a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is a Board Certified Art Therapist with the Art Therapy Credentials Board.
As a clinician, Sarah has a decade of experience with various populations. She worked with refugee children resettled in the USA and individuals who sought asylum here, as well. She was part of a non-profit organization specifically serving adult female survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Sarah gained most of her experience helping adults struggling with the disease of addiction at the inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care. Most recently, she has been working as a school-based counselor with autistic teens and children, as well as kids with ADHD and other neurodivergent disorders.
As an artist, Sarah prefers ceramics as her medium but enjoys watercolors as well. She currently makes art for herself and her own self-care with plans to establish a commission-based business creating personalized ceramic pieces. Her artist identity is that of a mirror, reflecting the world around her and offering those who view her art to see themselves in it.
As a mother of 5 in a blended family, Sarah prioritizes her roles of parent, coparent, and partner. She currently resides in Pennsylvania and is involved in community outreach and volunteering through the Junior League of York.
