Paul Macks is a retired not-for-profit administrator. Paul has a BS in Communications from Temple University, an MA in Communications from Ohio University and a Post- Master Certificate in Healthcare Administration from Saint Joseph’s University. Paul spent most of his career in health care administration working in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation hospitals in Philadelphia and New York, serving in various capacities including marketing, new business development, product line extensions, mergers and acquisitions, and construction management.
The last ten years before he retired, Paul was the Executive Director of the Kardon Institute for Arts Therapy in Philadelphia. KIAT served 1500 clients a week providing music, art and dance/movement therapy to clients of all ages with physical, developmental and behavioral disabilities and became the sole provider of creative arts therapies to Philadelphia Community Behavioral Health, enabling access for their 40,000 clients. Since moving to Santa Fe in 2013, Paul has provided pro bono grant writing services to Madrid Cultural Projects, The Tarnoff Art Center in Rowe, NM. Paul’s wife Barbara, a Los Alamos native, is past President of the Santa Fe Book Arts Group and remains active in public art projects.
Paul recently completed an eight year term on the Board of Santa Fe Children’s Museum and currently serves in an emeritus and advisory capacity.
