Nena Martinez Anaya, M.A., is the Chief Admissions & Student Success Officer at the Institute of American Indian Arts. She has 22 years of higher education experience and is currently the Primary Designated School Official and Responsible Officer for International education and the Certifying Official for Veteran Education. Nena oversees the Admissions & Recruitment Department and the Student Success Center, to include: Financial Aid, Scholarships, Student Accounts, Career/Internships; Disability Services, Summer Bridge Program, Tutoring Center, Mentorship Program, Orientation, Dual Credit, Early Alert Program and the Student Pantry. She is a Higher Learning Commission (HLC) Peer Reviewer and serves on the President’s Cabinet. Prior to her work at IAIA, she was the Education Coordinator at the College of Santa Fe and Lead Counselor at Western Texas College, Snyder, TX. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Organizational Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Education both from the College of Santa Fe.
