Lyndsey McAdams, M.A.., LPCC. is a Licensed Therapist and Ceremonial Singer, practicing “Sound Mnemonics”: Sound and Song are simply reminder tools that help us re-connect to our hearts, our authentic vibration. She has a classical voice training background that has merged with her study of clinical counseling, neurobiological and mindfulness perspectives, and experiences with various earth-based medicine people with one question: What is it about beautiful sound, specifically the human voice, that has potential for being a catalyst to transcendent experience?
Currently, she has a private practice in Santa Fe called “The Linden Tree: Remembering Through Song and Ceremony”, where she provides traditional counseling, therapeutic singing lessons, song and sound groups, collaborative ceremonial offerings, and meditation concerts.
She has 9 years of experience working at various social services agencies through counseling and social work roles providing services for persons working through patterns of addiction, families experiencing homelessness and persons who are court ordered to attend treatment. She also is an experienced service provider for children, adolescents and adults experiencing grief or trauma reactions.
Lyndsey is a Southwestern College Graduate with a M.A. in Counseling and a focus on Interpersonal Neurobiology. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Bowling Green State University in Social Work with a focus on grass roots organizing and social empowerment.
