Kenneth Winfrey, M.S.W., LMSW, specializes in culturally relevant mental health practice. As a multi-ethnic American, his goal is to help students find the most important “ethnicity” of all–the self. His primary fields of study include Belief Systems Analysis, the spiritual sciences of Ancient Egypt (Metu Neter), African/Afrocentric cultural practices, the Native American Medicine Wheel, transpersonal psychology and yoga in mental health. As an adoptive parent and survivor of a near-death mystical experience, his work is predicated upon the premise that we are each transformed by our interactions–as students, teachers, counselors and as humans–and that we each bring priceless and unique knowledge to the learning and therapeutic experience.
