Juniper Decker, MA, LPCC, CCTP has been a licensed professional clinical counselor and school counselor since 2011. Ms. Juniper Decker attended the University of New Mexico for a BS in Family Studies and a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling. Juniper works with clients who struggle with attachment in their relationships. Juniper studied massage therapy in Santa Fe New Mexico and was a certified massage therapist for over 20 years. She uses her knowledge of the body and its healing capacity to inform her therapeutic relationship with those adults who are working on healing trauma and injury to attached relationships. Juniper’s primary focus with clients is to help them learn the skills to empower their healing paths.
Juniper also serves inner city high school students and their families who may be struggling with substance misuse. Juniper uses motivational interviewing and structural family systems approaches to address the needs of her students and families. She uses a bottom-up approach and is informed by the cultural specific needs of each family. Juniper enjoys learning about emotional and structural nuance in varied family systems along with how trauma impacts intra and interpersonal functioning within relationships. When Juniper is not serving her community, she focuses on family time and travel.
