Spring Entry – Part-time Counseling Plan (3.5 years)

This part-time, 3.5 year program

• is designed for people who wish to work full-time (or nearly full-time) while also pursuing their degree, 
• uses Federal Direct student loans to cover tuition costs and some living expenses, and
• offers time to integrate the clinical learning with the self reflective aspects of the program.

Financial Example:

Most students who are enrolled full-time qualify for $20,500 (less the origination fee) in Federal Direct Student Loans each academic year, less if enrolled part or three-quarter time. With this plan, Federal Direct Student Loans cover tuition*, fees and some living expenses. 

• Year 1: 16 quarter units at 2017-18 rate of $570 per quarter unit = $9,120 + $330 fees = $9,450
• Year 2*: 34 units at 2017-18 rate of $570 per quarter unit = $19,380 + $660 fees = $20,040
• Year 3*: 29 quarter units at 2017-18 rate of $570 per quarter unit = $16,530 + $660 fees = $17,190
• Year 4*: 12 quarter units at 2017-18 rate of $570 per quarter unit = $6,800 + $330 fees = $7,170

If the tuition and fees owed in a year exceed the amount of student loans available, additional funds from scholarships, savings, work income, gift or loan from family are needed. Tuition and fees due at registration. Payment plans are available to assist you.

Additional costs (living expenses, books, personal therapy requirement, travel expenses, etc.) are not included in the above calculations but are estimated in the Cost of Attendance.
