Alyssa Butler, MA, ATR-BC, LPCC, LPC

Alyssa is a Board Certified Art Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Mexico and Colorado. Alyssa received their BFA from The School at the Art Institute of Chicago in 2015 and graduated from Southwestern College with their MA in Art Therapy and Counseling in 2018. Alyssa’s work since graduating in 2018 includes inpatient substance abuse recovery, treatment foster care, crisis management, outpatient services in community mental health, group practice, neuropsychological evaluation for ASD testing, and private practice. Alyssa comes from a person centered, strength based approach. They have utilized art therapy, nature based therapies, EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing throughout their career. When Alyssa is not working, they enjoy spending time in nature, spending time with their dogs, making art, and spending time with friends, family and their spouse.
