“My teaching philosophy is much like my clinical philosophy in that I strive to create a safe base of collaboration in which to explore all of the possibilities inherent in transformation of self and others. I believe that education, like therapy is a bi-directional process where both the teacher and the students are equally transformed through the process of sharing ideas, experiences and perspectives. I am an experienced, enthusiastic and validating leader with the ultimate goal of inspiring my students, through their developing awareness of self, to discover their unique perspective from which to confront the challenges presented to them as clinicians. My teaching style is one that takes into account various styles of learning and I believe that utilizing didactic, experiential, visual and expressive techniques creates a dynamic and engaging experience for varied learning styles.”
