Zahira Miller, PsyD, LPCC, graduated from the University of California Santa Cruz with a BA in Psychology and Women’s Studies. Zahira worked in behavioral health after university and started her graduate education in San Francisco, completing a year in the PsyD program at the California Institute of Integral Studies. She completed her graduate education at Southwestern earning an MA in Counseling in 2004. Zahira completed her PsyD with a focus on Organizational Leadership from the University of Arizona Global Campus.
Zahira has worked in a variety of clinical environments. Right out of college she worked in a group home for girls in Oakland, CA, then with children on the Autistic Spectrum who also had severe behavioral issues. As a licensed clinician Zahira has worked in the non-profit environment, primarily with adolescents, as well as being a high school counselor. She has worked at the NM State Penitentiary, Behavioral Health Services Division, and for Family Court Services doing child custody mediation and assessment. Zahira is looking forward to taking the next step in her career in education and private practice, as well as other adventures that may arise along the way.
