Linnea Knoespel, MA, LMHC
Linnea Knoespel, MA, LMHC is a recent graduate of Southwestern College and Internship Liaison for the Art Therapy Program at Southwestern Counseling Center. She has worked as an Art Therapist and Counselor for a wide range of clients on a variety of issues including, but not limited to, depression, addiction, self-esteem, body issues, self-development and identity, improving relationships both with self and others, setting boundaries, codependency, sexuality, LGBTQI, family of origin issues, unresolved grief, life transitions, managing every day stress and PTSD.
Linnea enjoys creating a safe therapeutic environment where she supports her clients to explore their inner landscape and its relationship to the outside world. She meets the client where they are and incorporates different approaches to meet the unique needs of each client. She offers both Art Therapy and Counseling to her clients, believing that sometimes it is appropriate to make art, sometimes to talk and sometimes to do both.
“I work with clients to strengthen their witness consciousness so they are supported to gain insight into personal dynamics. Through this process, we may unlock maladaptive belief patterns that no longer serve our present functioning and instead invite new truths to replace them that support our higher functioning. I believe in working towards wholeness, allowing everything we are to come into the room, including the identified ‘bad and ugly’ so that we may transform our relationship to these parts and ultimately to ourselves. I am passionate about guiding others on their own healing journey so that they may achieve a more full experience of life all around.”
