Laura L. Lansrud-López

Laura has extensive professional and volunteer experience working with adults, children, and families in crisis and survivors of trauma. She has worked in both outpatient and home-based settings providing individual and family therapy, crisis planning and intervention, assessment, and treatment. Laura has facilitated art therapy, grief support, and skills groups with adults and adolescents, and has specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Sandplay therapy, and Children’s Mental Health.
Laura is currently in private practice in Santa Fe, NM, and has a passion for integrating evidence-based practices and expressive arts modalities. Laura provides art therapy and counseling services to individuals and couplse, clinical supervision and consultation, and offers professional workshops and presentations on topics such as Ethics and Social Media; Art Therapy Interventions with Traumatized Children; Understanding and Working with Borderline Personality Disorder; and Art Therapy in DBT.
Laura also serves on the Board of Advisors for Southwestern College and is the founder of Counselors de Santa Fe Collaborative, a social-media based networking group providing continuing eduation for local professionals. Laura served as Secretary for the New Mexico Art Therapy Association (NMATA) from 2010-2012, and is the former President of the New Mexico Art Therapy Association (2013).
Laura teaches History of Art Therapy: Current Trends, Theories of Art Therapy, Professional Ethics in Art Therapy, and Assessments in Art Therapy.
