JoAnne Dodgson is a healer, author and teacher of Peruvian medicine ways. She has over twenty years experience offering counseling, ceremonial gatherings, holistic healing and workshops. As a therapist, she has provided counseling services in university counseling centers, community agencies and women’s centers. A primary focus of her clinical experience has been supporting individuals in their healing process related to sexual trauma. She has served as an outreach educator and clinical coordinator of community response to interpersonal violence on two university campuses.
For over 10 years, JoAnne has pursued an extensive apprenticeship in a Peruvian tradition from the Eastern Andes to learn and live the medicine ways. She has received permission to share the Peruvian teachings, sacred initiation ceremonies, and traditional energy healings. She also offers community ceremonies to honor and celebrate the cycles of life and rhythms of the earth as well as for visioning and manifesting. JoAnne writes medicine stories with a focus on our connections with the earth and spirit guides and creating heart-centered ways of living. Her self-published books include: Gifts of the Grandmother, UnLeashing Love and MoonDance Journal. She teaches a variety of classes, including Counseling Theory and Practice.
