Antonio Nuñez, Ph.D.
Dr. Nuñez received his Ph.D. from the California Institute of Integral Studies in the area of East/West Psychology. He also has Masters’ degrees in Organizational Psychology from DePauw University and in Educational Technologies from the The George Washington University. He received his B.A. at Ball State University in the area of Psychology and Sociology/Anthropology.
Dr. Nuñez has an extensive background in the academic world, having served as academic dean, executive director and acting president for the Boulder Graduate School, as well as associate professor and program director at the California Institute of Integral Studies. He has also been a Board of Directors member at the California Institute of Integral Studies, Naropa University and several Charter Schools in the state of Florida. He has also combined his academic career with work in the corporate and the non-profit worlds. In the corporate world he has been CEO of a multinational telecommunications company and in the Non-profit world he was Executive Director of the Together Foundation an institution with membership as an NGO of the United Nations.
His academic orientation lies in the field of Transpersonal Psychology and he was also founder of a Master’s program in the area of Organizational Development and Transformation that ran at the California Institute of Integral Studies.
His current interests, in addition to teaching at SWC, lie in the areas of organizational consulting, personal and life coaching and working in support of the elderly population.
In his personal life he has been married to his wife Zaida for over 45 years and of this union 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren occupy most of his free time.

Dr. Nuñez teaches Group Dynamics, Psychology of Altruism, Professional Ethics in Counseling and Multicultural Perspectives in Counseling.
