Creating Characters

Creating Characters

I love gluing things together to create beings. Broken toys, bits of jewelry, feathers, recycling, stones, pistachio shells.. the list of gluable-together items is infinitely long!

This is a common directive that I use with clients as well, we use pieces that I have collected, as well as meaningful items that they bring, to create a whole sculpture, an embodiment of an archetype that is present in their lives, or a supportive force that they would like to nurture. As my client creates a concretized version of what wants to be manifest, I create alongside.

These are a few examples of some that I have made.

On April 14th, I will be co-leading a workshop, “Resonating Myths: Manifesting a Character,” during which participants will create a character for themselves out of objects that are shared and brought.
