Honor Your Doggies, Kitties and Other Non-Human Friends and Gurus…

Southwestern College & Its Pets

Southwestern College is still, to the best of my knowledge, the only institution of Higher Education that has a blog devoted to people at the College and their pets. We also have a Pinterest page celebrating such relationships…

At our new student orientation last week, it seemed that almost everybody in the room had a pet, and some of them had multiple pets. Many are rescue dogs and cats. It was clear that the collective lives of the people in the room were enhanced immeasurably by the four leggeds in their lives.

We are asking you to join us in celebrating and honoring the non-human gurus, best friends and teachers that grace your lives in so many ways.

Please send us a photo (or more than one) of you and your pet(s) and a short story about them, where they came from, how you met them, what they mean to you…We will post it as a blog from Southwestern College.  /blogs/pets-their-people-southwestern-college/

This invitation is to students, alumni, faculty, trustees, advisors and staff. We would love to hear from you, and you would be honoring the little (OK, and sometimes big) ones in your lives…
