Cheryl and Bear…

When Bear was 3 we left him at a kennel while we went on vacation. There was another dog there that just happened to be up for adoption. Her name is Violet. While we were gone, Bear fell in love. When we went to pick him up, he wouldn’t come to us. He kept trying to get to Violet. Finally, we got him home, only to watch him pine away. After about two weeks of watching him mope and not eat much, we decided to adopt Violet. The night before we picked her up, Bear was lying on the bed looking out the window. I sat beside him and asked him if he missed Violet. At the sound of her name he wagged his tail and rolled his eyes at me. I asked him if he wanted Violet to come and live with us. I got the same reaction. Then I asked him “where’s Violet”. He jumped off the bed and went from window to window looking for her. That sealed it. The next day we picked her up.
