Rainbow Bridge

Rainbow Bridge

I am a SWC alumnus ’93. “Rainbow Bridge” was one of a series of paintings I created in my recovery from cancer. Each painting that I did at that time of my life spoke to me, giving me information about what I needed to do (on a psychospiritual level) to heal.Although I had an rough idea of the image before I painted it, the final product was always a suprise, as the images were different from what I originally intended. This painting took approximately 2 months to complete and was painted in acrylic paints, using a drybrush technique.

I painted 12 paintings over a 2 year period during my recovery from metastatic kidney cancer. Each painting was an important vehicle for information from my soul regarding my healing process. Rainbow Bridge helped me learn to bridge the mundane and visionary to create a unique healing path

The voice of this painting stated, I am struggling with the enormity of my illness and must journey across the bridge to connect with the spiritual dimension.
