Quite often I take the opportunity to take a class here. I have taken a number of art therapy classes as well as psychopathology, psychology of altruism and vision quest. This fall I am taking the human development course because so much has happened in the field since I studied this. There are so many books on infant, child, teen, adult development that it makes my head spin.
Our discussion and readings on attachment are particularly meaningful. I love that the instructor, Connie Buck, is inviting us to reflect on our own personal development and attachment issues, and she also calls on us to reflect on our culture and society and the collective unconscious. By taking an individual perspective and then bringing it out to the community and culture it feels as though we are weaving a great blanket of interconnectedness. Kudos to Connie and the group for creating an interesting learning experience!
