Jim just posted a piece on photography and I cannot resist sharing photos that he took while in a Transformational Ecopsychology class taught by Carol Parker. I call the series the “Phoenix series” for obvious reasons. Jim was one of the attendees and laid on the ground and took pictures of Carol and students through the fire….creating an incredible visual of the theme of “transformation” while learning.
Some of these photos are hanging in our library and so many visitors to our school have enjoyed seeing them and loved the imagery. These photos are my favorite. In the top one the fire actually takes the shape of a phoenix or a dragon. Very cool!

This is such a great example of how the magic of seeing the world through your art modality contributes to the creation of such memorable images…These are kind of iconic, and I have the feeling of some other energy working through me to make me see them and capture them for posterity….
