While working in the insurance industry as an administrative professional, Wendy Wasserman became aware that she wanted more out of life. Wendy grew up on Long Island, NY and lived in New York City prior to relocating to Santa Fe to begin the long process towards personal and professional fulfillment.
“When I was looking at Art Therapy/Counseling master degree programs, Southwestern really stood out to me. The transformational aspects along with an experiential learning environment were appealing to me; it was so different than the other programs out there. When I visited the campus for the first time and experienced being present in a supportive environment, I knew this was where I wanted to be and I feel the same way in the role of Admissions and Academic Advisor.”
As a recent Southwestern College graduate, Wendy feels proud to be part of the transformational environment of SWC. When not in her office in the student lounge building, Wendy is pursuing her Art Therapy and volunteer interests and spends lots of quality time with her two rescue pets, Kizzy the cat and Sundae the Chihuahua/Papillion.
