Constance Buck, Ph.D.

Constance Buck, Ph.D. is a faculty member at Southwestern College and teaches various classes including Applied Theories of Human Development, Group Dynamics and the Psychology of Consciousness.

Dr. Buck has traveled in third world countries for years at a time and brings a depth of appreciation and experience of indigenous cultures to the classroom. She received her bachelor’s in Sociology from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, a Masters in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the California State University, and a MSW from New Mexico Highlands University. Her Ph.D. is in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute.

Connie's background includes thirty years of teaching, therapeutic and somatic work with individuals and groups. She is a certified Director of Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy granted by Westwoood Institute and is a licensed Social Work Master. She is a national lecturer and master's-level instructor in Psychology, Social Work and Counseling. For the past 5 years she has participated in the Advanced Studies program in Jungian Psychology through the C.G. Jung Institute of Santa Fe. She is currently in training with Sharon Stanley, Ph.D. in Somatic Transformation, integrating soma and Psyche in clinical work.
